HYPNOSIS
Brief History
Hypnotherapy is one of our oldest therapies. Writings date back to four hundred years B.C. and reveal that Sumerieans used hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. It is known that specially trained priests doctors gave hypnotic suggestions, as did later Hindu Fakirs, Persian Magi and Indian Yogi. It has been used all through the ages upto the present day, where hypnosis is used successfully not only in surgery ,denistry and as a psychotherapeutic tool, but in many areas of personal development, in particular sport or career, raising personal confidence and competence, inproving study habits, releasing blocked potential and instilling a positive attitude.
Hypnosis is not a state of sleep, it is a deep relaxation and the client is more receptive to assimilation of positive thoughts and ideas. Hypnosis does not change your personality, it brings out the best in you. Many people believe or are told they must live with their depression or anxiety or panic attacks and this is not necessary with hypnosis.
THE TREATMENT
The treatment begins with a detailed discussion of the clients needs and wishes.
An explaination of how Hypnotherapy works.
What they feel or hear during the session, i.e being asked to nod in agreement to a suggestion. (this having been pre-discussed)
How they will feel after the treatment.
Sometimes a variety of suggestions are given i.e of deep breathing as a coping technique when they feels stressed.
During the treatment the client will remain conscious at all times, and hear all that is said to them, they are feeling very relaxed and in this state they have access to their unconscious mind, where they gain its support for positive healing and changes in their life (prviously discussed)
After the treatment the client will feel Calm, Relaxed and Confident.
Hypnosis can help with:
Improve confidence and self esteem

Stop Smoking
Lose Weight
Remove blocks which is holding back creativity
Help reduce pain and many, many others.
SELF HYPNOSIS TRAINING 1 DAY
As a great number of ancient documents verify, hypnosis is one of the oldest therapies.
Down through the ages there have been different theries as to why hypnosis has worked. It was only when a professor Hippolyte Bernheim (1843-1919) became interest in the jwork of Ambrose Auguste Liebeault, a parisian physican who had been using hypnotic suggestions very successfully for many years, that hypnosis was taken more seriously by the medica establishment. Professor Berheim, was famous as a neurologist in Nancy and was so impressed by Liebeault's clinic that he jfounded the school of Nancy, thereby creating the first institue for the Scientific application of Hypnosis, In 1886 Berheim published his book about SUGGESTION which laid the foundation upon which modern medicine therapy is based
